Also, look at their ownership percentages and compensation plans including the stock options and their prices. The financials look great, revenue is up 90% Q3, and it looks like a bright future.

Current Cultural Significance and Meme Value: A year ago I wouldn’t have included this section but the events from the last several weeks (even going back to tsla) have proven that a company’s ability to meme and/or gain social network popularity can have an effect. Tik-tok, Snapchat, Twitch, Reddit, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter. They all have Playboy stuff on them. Kids in middle and highschool know what Playboy is but will likely never see or touch one of the magazines in person. They’ll have a Playboy hoodie though. Crazy huh? A lot like GME, PLBY would hugely benefit from meme-value stock interest to drive engagement towards their new business model while also building strategic coffers. This interest may not directly and/or significantly move the stock price but can generate significant interest from larger players who will.
Bull Case: The year is 2025. Playboy is now the world leader pleasure brand. They began by offering Playboy licensed gaming products, including gambling products, direct to consumers through existing names. By 2022, demand has skyrocketed and Playboy has designed and released their own gambling platforms. In 2025, they are also a leading cannabis brand in the United States and Canada with proprietary strains and products geared towards sexual wellness. Cannabis was legalized in the US in 2023 when President Biden got glaucoma but had success with cannabis treatment. He personally pushes for cannabis legalization as he steps out of office after his first term. Playboy has also grown their brand in China and India to multi-billion per year markets. The stock goes up from 11ish to 100ish and everyone makes big gains buying somewhere along the way.
Bear Case: The United States does a complete 180 on marijuana and gambling. They gain and lose some interest in China and India but the markets are too large to ignore them completely. The stock goes up from 11ish to 13ish and everyone makes 15-20% gains.
TL;DR: Successful technology/e-commerce investment firm took over Playboy to turn it into a porn, online gambling/gaming, sports book, cannabis company, worldwide lifestyle brand that promotes sexual wellness, vetern access, women-ownership, minority-ownership, and “pleasure for all”. Does a successful online team reinventing an antiquated physical copy giant sound familiar? No options yet, shares only for now. $11.38 per share at time of writing. Shes a huge gambler. I cant necessarily call get an addict because she spends within her means but shes pretty close. Gambling is about the only thing she does in her free time and it's the only thing she will do outside of work and home. If you aren't trying to do to the casino or the bar (pull tabs) shes not really interested in spending time with you.
Her and I went to Las Vegas September 2019. And that place has quickly become her vacation place. She got a credit card for the miles and has gone 5 times since.
Now that there is a global pandemic, she booked a trip for the the end of july. She also is ridiculously claustrophobic. So masks are a problem.
She has a husband and 3 kids. She smoked for all 3 of her pregnancy and her kids have asthma and when they get colds it's always respiratory. Her youngest daughter has had croup 3 times. Shes 8 years old and she just had it.
I tried to pull at her heart strings and plead with her about going and how she putting her kids at risk. I've tried showing her facts. I've tried being angry. And she just isnt getting it.

My mom's never been there for me when I was young (left me in a hot car to go to a bar and sell drugs when I was a kid; left me alone in a hotel room in Atlantic City while she hit the casinos; abandoned me when I fell off my kiddie bike and hurt my ankle when I was seven or eight, before she went to jail for a few years, and had to stay with a stranger who found me and helped me find my grandparents while she was cycling through, forgetting about me). And now, I'm nineteen and I have a pair of baby half-siblings (three, during four in January 2020 and two, turning three in October 2019). And she says she's a good mom and she's changed and she blames it all on her schizoeffective disorder that she's not receiving treatment for.
Except she never changes my baby sister's diaper or even feeds her unless my stepdad's there and she needs to look good; is always hanging out and leaving my siblings at home for my grandparents and me to take care of (my stepdad's always at work; my mom's going to Las Vegas with her friends this week); and right now, after I suggested we do a little M-CHAT checklist to see if we should take my baby brother to a professional since he's three and has no social skills, can't speak a single word, and has a genetic propensity for autism (I'm autistic), she was too busy to even care since she was telling my grandparents how smart she is and how she helped sell my uncle's share of a business to her friends, calling my uncle retarded (that she sold to him at a bad location with a terrible co-owner) and was on Facebook (always).
She always asks for my grandparents to do everything for her (babysit, drive her places even though she has a license, cook her food, clean up after her, loan her money she rarely pays back) and she never spends time with my baby siblings. She sends my baby brother to his paternal grandmother since my grandparents can't take care of him and my mom won't do anything except coo at him and spoil him by getting him toys to earn cheap affection and just gives my baby sister an iPad so she won't bother her.
And still, everyone loves my mom.
My stepdad, even if he yells at my mom (for not helping out at the business, eating expensive delivery every day, buying a ton of stuff 'on sale' for her friends like perfume sets. giving away my stuff and my grandparents' stuff to her friends), still lets her buy all those designer bags she wants and anything. My grandparents always tell me that she's sweet but she's just a bit crazy and to love her and put up with her. My uncle tolerates her and still helps her since he considers her his little sister. My baby siblings love her since she always spoils them with toys and gets the credit for being a loving mother (i.e. asking my grandparents to say 'no' to them when there's something wrong or putting my brother behind the baby gates when he's messing around with something he's not supposed to). She's obsessed with getting people to love her and she bends over backwards for everyone until they do and then she treats them like dirt.
And they always forgive her for everything she does.
She steals money from my stepdad and, when I told him about it when I was 16, he yelled at me for being a liar and for being mean to my mom. Guess what? He found out that she was taking his money a year or two later. And he still trusts her and loves her. To be fair, I also did accuse her for stealing my money, which she didn't (it turned out to be my best friend, so that's another story). So she does treat me better than anyone else in the family.
My mom also insists my uncle pays her money out of his paycheck since he's living in her house even though, when she was released from jail and had no where to go, he let her stay in our apartment free-of-charge for years.
And she's a totally a-hole to my bio dad. Listen, I don't really see him as my dad since we talk to each other once every few months and, when we do, there's a 50/50 chance it's because he needs money which is understandable since he has two kids and a job in construction. But he's a genuinely nice guy. Yeah, he smoked and drank, but he always told me how bad it was and never to follow in his footsteps. My mom was always talking about how big my breasts are and talking about my legs, even if I told her to stop. And he didn't keep kissing me on the lips when I'm obviously uncomfortable and was telling her to stop. He never bit me and teased me and made me cry as a kid, either. Yeah, he was ashamed of me but at least he never used me as some kind of cute tool to get out of tickets by charming police officers with 'oh, what a poor single mother and a little innocent kid who idolizes police officers.'
And then guess who's the problem child? My family always complains that I need to go out more, shower more, stop being scared of talking to people. If I just go outside and get some sunlight, then it'll cure my autism, depression, and anxiety! Wow. I wish I knew that smiling would help, I could feel the years of depression flowing away! And look, the doctor even signed a certificate saying: Depression Cured! And then my mom's there, being a jerk, and they're: "oh, poor _____, she's so sick. We have to help her."
Not to say I hate my family. I love them. My grandparents + uncle raised me since I was a baby since my mom was a teenager. But I just hate the double standard they have with her.
I know she isn't abusive (she spoils me with stuff and compliments me all the time now) but I just have so much anger with how completely self-centered she is. It's like everyone's just there to love her while she thinks she this amazing genius and completely neglects my baby siblings and doesn't care a bit for the family while pretending she's this virtuous, giving person to outsiders so they'd think she was the second-coming or something.
